All of our staff members complete The Dog Gurus’ Knowing Dogs 101 & 201 training curriculum and enthusiastically participate in continuing education. We take our responsibilities seriously and find great joy in our work, which is why we are fond of saying “our work is play”.
Kristen Hall founded Puptown Charlotte in 2009 and remains involved in the daily operations of the business. You will often find Kristen in our lobby answering questions and cracking jokes while happily covered in dog hair.
Kristen is one of only 4 individuals in North Carolina recognized as a Certified Professional Animal Care Operator, a distinction awarded by the Professional Animal Care Certification Council (PACCC). In addition to her work at Puptown Charlotte, Kristen devotes time to serving on the Education Committee of International Pet Boarding Services Association (IBPSA).
Our lives revolve around dogs, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
All of the artwork displayed at Puptown Charlotte has been created by different employees over the years.
Staff members spend a lot of time observing to develop a sense of each dog’s energy level, personality traits, and quirks. We use these observations to form small groups of dogs with compatible personalities and playstyles. Puptown Charlotte caps each group at a maximum of 20 dogs because we want the dogs to enjoy interacting without ever feeling crowded, overwhelmed, or overlooked.
In addition to providing an exceptional experience for the dogs at Puptown Charlotte, we also make a concerted effort to establish a personal connection and ongoing relationship with each of our customers. Our relationship begins with scheduling a 30 minute Pup Preview Day appointment, and continues through the many stages of your dog’s life.
Puptown Charlotte is proud to support Morris Animal Foundation - a Denver, CO based nonprofit organization that invests in science to advance animal health. The foundation is a global leader in funding scientific studies for companion animals, horses, and wildlife. Since its founding in 1948, Morris Animal Foundation has invested more than $155 million toward 2,700+ studies that have led to significant breakthroughs in diagnostics, treatments, preventions, and cures for animals worldwide.
Puptown Charlotte donates $1 from every transaction to Morris Animal Foundation. We are thankful for this opportunity to impact canine cancer research and the health of dogs everywhere.
